Iyengar Yoga is known for its emphasis on proper alignment to maximise health benefits. Controlled studies show that yoga over has a positive impact on bone density. Research indicates that regular yoga practice can lead to increased bone density in the spine and hips, as measured by bone density scans, when compared to control groups who did not practice yoga.
