EHC’s 2025 MINCE PIE BAKE-OFF

Our Christmas Fête, Monday, December 15th, 4-7 PM

Our Mince Pie Bake-Off was Back in mid-December for the 2nd year! After guarding this year’s Grand Prize of the EHC Carved Wooden Spoon very closely (see photo) Teddy himself became part of the prize, which was awarded for the 2nd year running to teen entrant Jazmine. She was awarded the special carved EHC spoon by St Ives Mayor, Johnnie Wells.

Entry is free, and as far as we’re concerned, the more the merrier! All entrants are welcome, whatever your experience – so why not give it a go? Last year’s 17-year-old winner succeeded despite being pitted against a professional baker!

How to Enter

🥧 Please notify us that you’d like to enter by emailing our Community Hub Officer, Claire, at community.volunteering@edwardhaincentre.org.uk – or call her on 01736 691233. We will need to know, to get an idea of numbers – even if it’s last-minute.

Two requirements:
🥧 6 individual pies to be entered (ie one-person pies)
🥧 A list of ingredients must be included on delivery (a health & safety requirement for us!)

🥧 Delivery: Either bring your pies to the Centre at the event (near the beginning please – starts at 4PM) or drop them off before 2PM earlier in the day. (We will need set-up time so taking delivery will be hard!) Pickup may also be possible by arrangement, but please DM or call with as much notice as you can, please.

🥧 One request: Would you please donate any remaining individual pies (after judging) to our Refreshments stall? We would be very grateful, and are sure our visitors will be, too!

The prize will be presented at a time to be announced on the evening (or here, if we find out in time.)

THANK YOU! May the Best Pie win….
