Starting April 24, every Friday from 3:30 to 4:30
Spend time with your child learning coding with fun activities! These free sessions, where parents/carers and children learn together, help families develop strategies to support learning at home. Learning with your child creates meaningful shared experiences; and our Family Learning Sessions offer fun, educational time for every family.
Led by Chris Bevington, the sessions are suitable for all ages, focusing strongly on Key Stage 2 learners.
Snacks and drinks are available from 3:00pm before each session begins.
What to Expect
Chris’s Family Learning Sessions support children across key curriculum areas. The first sessions focus on engaging and hands‑on coding activities. Upcoming sessions include robotics, English, maths, and SATs preparation. Parents and carers must supervise their children throughout every session.

Why Learning Together Matters
Research shows that shared learning builds confidence for children and parents. According to the Harvard Graduate School of Education,
“family involvement can significantly boost children’s learning outcomes across literacy, school readiness, and long-term academic success. For example, children whose parents participate in learning activities, such as reading, homework support, and school engagement, tend to achieve higher performance, better work habits, and stronger engagement in school,” (Family Involvement: What Does Research Say? | Harvard Graduate School of Education)
Learning together improves academic outcomes and strengthens family relationships. Your involvement has a powerful and lasting impact on your child.
