Say Hello to Sharron Goldingay!
After weeks of excitement about hiring our new Centre Manager, we can now formally introduce Sharron Goldingay. Some of you may have met her one our weekend Open Day launch, and seen the fabulous photo of her that graced the article about us in September 10th’s Sunday Times.
Sharron joins our team from Penzance Council, where she worked as their Corporate Service Manager. With her background in management and Procurement, as well as having run a COVID testing centre during the pandemic, her experience brings a fresh, vital approach to the EHC.
She arrived at the Centre on Monday morning, and by 8:50 had already been sitting at work outside for about 20 minutes when 3 of the Trustees turned up to open up and welcome her for her 9:00am start. At 9:00 sharp, EHC Chair Lynne Isaacs did the honours…

Born in the Midlands, Sharron first moved to Penzance in 1997. She has 2 grown sons and a teenage daughter. She is also a keen gardener, with an allotment in Gulval where she’s currently fighting a losing battle with a sweetcorn loving badger, identified by his footprints and badger shaped dents in the crop. However, with her directness and charm, it wouldn’t surprise us to hear that she’s persuaded the stripey fellow to divert its attention elsewhere…
Sharron likes black and white films and is an avid reader – favourites being historical and crime novels. (We know she’s going to catch that badger…) We also happen to know that she has a soft spot for donkeys.
We are thrilled to welcome her to the Centre. Please join us in a big HELLO!
