Coming Soon: St. Ives Food Bank is relocating to the Edward Hain Centre

The St. Ives Food Bank have provided meals for families in crisis for over ten years. For eight of those, they were based at Chy an Gweal chapel in Carbis Bay; but in early May, in a move that brings them closer to most of the families they provide for, they are moving into The Edward Hain Centre.

Any Day Now! A New Dawn. . .

Exactly two months after our celebratory launch weekend, the Edward Hain Centre’s doors will soon open to its first clients. The motto on our website – ‘A New Dawn in Health and Wellbeing in St. Ives’ – is about to become reality.

Tregenna Ball Does It Again

Last year’s ball at Tregenna Castle was one of our most successful events of 2022. This year’s version was also a winner, netting a fabulous £5759.75 for the Edward Hain Centre!
Remembering a Legacy

On this day in 1917, Sir Edward Hain, whose shipping company funded the purchase of the Edward Hain Memorial Hospital in the name of his son, died at the age of 65.
An old key to the new Centre

Amongst them was a box, in which, hidden beneath a few odds and ends, was a beautiful key. It was inscribed, ‘Presented to Lady Hain on the occasion of the opening of the Edward Hain Memorial Hospital, St Ives Cornwall, April 8th 1920.’
