Both will contribute to the Centre’s continued expansion of services
2026 sees the arrival of two new team members at the Edward Hain Centre. Nadine Tonner is our new Community Hub Officer/Business Support, and Mark Wilson is caretaker/maintenance lead.
Both positions were made possible by last year’s fabulous National Lottery Community Fund Grant.
Nadine
Nadine brings the EHC her extensive experience in business, events and marketing. She has delivered major community events for Penzance Council, Penzance BID and the Golowan Festival CIC, where she was also a director.
Other previous roles include volunteer coordination and various high-profile media placements, including the BBC and ITV. This gives her a broad foundation in community-focused work.
Nadine’s Projects
We’re always surprised to hear that many in our community still don’t know we exist – let alone what we do. Nadine’s key role in promoting our activities and building partnerships will change this, putting us more firmly on the map. She will also ensure that the Centre remains a welcoming, visible and well‑connected community hub.

Putting us on the map. . . Marks ”mystery project will also contribute to doing this.
Mark
Mark’s presence at the Edward Hain will ensure that the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and well‑kept. His work includes repairs, room setup, grounds care, and health and safety checks.
Mark served 34 years in the Regular Army, deploying to Iraq as a company Sergeant Major and receiving the Meritorious Service Medal in 2014. After retiring, he spent nine years as Estate Manager at Werrington Park, overseeing ornamental gardens, estate maintenance, and a small herd of Devon Ruby Reds.
Mark’s Projects
Mark will soon begin preparing the ground for two new projects, including repurposing our walled garden for community members’ use. (We’ll link to more info about that very soon, HERE). The other, for now, is a bit under wraps. . . but we feel sure you will love it!
A BIG WELCOME to Nadine and Mark. We’re thrilled to have you on board.
Thank You

Our deep gratitude goes once again to the National Lottery Community Fund for our ability to bring these two onto the EHC team.
