New Service: Social Hub for Home-Educated School-Age Kids

Are you a parent who’s home-educating your child or children? Would you like to engage them in social activities with other home-ed kids? We have it covered with our new Social Hub for home educated kids!

The Home Ed Social Hub will meet every week on a Tuesday afternoon (time tbc). Specific specific will be planned every week. These include: arts & crafts, board games, computer classes (taught by our regular IT course instructor, Chris Bevington), and cookery. The cookery class will round off with an end-of-session community meal in collaboration with the St Ives Foodbank in our lovely newly-renovated kitchens!

The Hub is open to all home-educated children and their homeschooling parent(s). Attendance is free. Come as and when you and your child(ren) choose, for the activities that interest them– either every week, or just one or two per month.

These are ‘stay and play’ sessions so while the activities are volunteer led, parents must stay with their kids (although they will be able to enjoy a nice cuppa and a chat with the other parents)

This is an exciting new venture for us, and we’d love to see you if this is a fit for you! For further details or to be added to our list, please contact Claire at community.volunteering@edwardhaincentre.org
