2025: Brand New Services at the EHC

Four new Health and Wellbeing services kick off in January & February

The Edward Hain Centre has sprung into action in 2025 with four new ‘Community Hub’ services. Two popular community workshops also continue from last year.

In addition, we are thrilled to welcome our first full-time independent practitioner  –  a milestone in our growth – as well as other independently-run activities.

The four 2025 ‘newbies’

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION FOR YOUR WELLBEING

6 Wednesdays, 9:30 – 11:00 AM. Find calm within the storm with mindfulness coach Elizabeth Martin. 20 spots only, so booking is required.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT AND INFORMATION GROUP

Nobody should face cancer alone. This is a monthly group, beginning Tuesday, February 11th, 1:30 – 3:30 PM. No signup needed.

STEP INTO WELLNESS

Weekly, begins Monday, February 17th. Seven unique weekly sessions to improve your over all physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Open to anyone over 18.

SUPPORT TO STOP SMOKING

Free, friendly and confidential advice to help you stop smoking/vaping. Once booked, appointments will be at the Edward Hain.

Two favourites continue from 2024

KNIT & NATTER: Weekly on Tuesdays, run by the Friends of the Edward Hain Centre from 11:00PM – 12:30PM. See HERE for more info and photos. It’s a fun gathering for all knitters, crocheters, wool-lovers, experienced or not! People are there to help, with refreshments on hand too.

PAIN CAFÉ: Monthly on the first Friday of the month. Relaxation, guidance and refreshments for those experiencing pain in their everyday lives. Next dates: February 7th, March 7th, April 4th. More info HERE

Private Sessions & Workshops

Meet our first full-time EHC practitioner! With rave reviews in her first week, Beth Reyhani offers expert ear care and de-waxing service.

IYENGAR YOGA

Weekly classes start again Wednesday 22nd January, 6:30-8:00PM. Taught by Ann Nicol; £10 a class.

Iyengar yoga is known for its emphasis on the proper alignment for optimum health. Booking and other info HERE

WORKSHOP: EAST MEETS WEST MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

2 stand-alone workshops with Binbin Zhang, Saturdays February 1st and 8th. Discover the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western instruments – and adapt to play traditional folk music in both. Bring your instruments and come to either workshop – or both!

This is a fine start to the year – and there are many more possibilities in discussion. Our staff are working hard to take the Centre to a new level during 2025, and fulfil more of our mission to bring affordable, accessible health and wellbeing services to our community.
