Providing a fun time out for up to 12 visitors
Are you a Care Home manager who would like to arrange fun and engaging outings for your residents? Bring them to the Edward Hain Centre! These sessions are free, including refreshments. We would be delighted to welcome you.
We offer two kinds of sessions for Care Home residents:
- For up to 12 residents and carers from standard residential homes. These sessions include activities like quizzes, bingo, movement, singing (with rousing accompaniment by our volunteers Catherine and Geoff, seen below) and more — like biscuit decoration (Also seen ]below). This also provides your residents with a break from their normal routine, and the opportunity to socialise in a different setting than usual.
- Dementia-specific visits. These are for residents who have more specific needs, with activities specially curated for dementia: Crafting (leaf printing); painting (colouring books); large-piece jigsaws; and other closely supervised sessions. We can cater to up to 4 visitors, with 2 carers each (so 12 in all).
Sessions are at dedicated times, so your group will be the sole group visitors at any given time. We will discuss activities options with you before your visit, in order to accommodate your particular group’s needs.
